Average price of single-family homes in Las Vegas up 13% over February 2005

According to the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors, the average price of single-family homes sold in February 2006 is $378,169, which is 13% higher than February 2005 and 1.1% lower than January 2006.

Analysts have long held that as long as California's economy does well, the Las Vegas housing market will continue to boom. According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, California's economy is on the comeback trail, and the U.S. Chamber wants to keep it that way.

That’s why the U. S. Chamber has decided to get involved, initiating an issue advocacy program using television, the Internet, and e-mails to help educate Californians about policies and approaches that will make their state, and thus our nation, more prosperous and competitive.  Throughout March, television ads have been running across the Golden State, discussing this progress as well as the need for further bold steps to create a more competitive California economy.

The Skywalk at Grand Canyon West To Open Late This Year
The Skywalk is a U-shaped transparent-glass walkway extending 70 feet from the edge of the canyon wall and 4,000 feet above the Colorado River and will be a world-wide draw.  The floor will be made of 41 pieces of glass brought in from Germany.  Grand Canyon West, on the Hualapai Indian Reservation, is about 120 miles east of Las Vegas, and is located at the Western Rim of the Grand Canyon.
