The City of Henderson, located 5 miles southeast of Las Vegas, is home to 232,146 residents according to the 2005 Census estimate, making it the second largest city in Nevada.
Green Valley, one of Henderson’s spectacularly mastered housing development communities, comprises 8,400 acres on the southeast part of the Las Vegas Valley and was the brainchild of Hank Greenspun, considered one of the first 100 most influential people in Las Vegas. A wide variety of housing options are available, including single-family homes, villas, condominiums, and townhomes.
Nestled near the Black Mountain Range and set on a higher elevation than much of the Las Vegas area, Green Valley home owners can boast some of the most beautiful views available of the Valley and the mountains.
The community features excellent schools maintained by the Clark County School District, greenbelts, an amphitheatre, and lushly landscaped walking trails. It is also home to the Green Valley Ranch Resort, Casino and Spa, an AAA 4-Diamond property.
The District at Green Valley Ranch, the first mixed-use metropolitan lifestyle center to be developed in Nevada, opened in 2004. The District features over 70 upscale retail shops and restaurants, 88 condominium residences above retail, office above retail and a three-story office building. Featured retailers include Pottery Barn, REI, Whole Foods Market, William Sonoma, West Elm, Cheesecake Factory and PF Chang's China Bistro
Commuting to and from Green Valley is made easy by its close proximity to I-95, I-15 and the 215 Beltway.
